You can maximize its potential to get the best results by mixing baking soda in this paste. It is a well-known component that is essential to wipe tough stains on several materials.

Take two tablespoons of baking soda in a cup and add the toothpaste in such an amount that it makes a paste-like mixture.

Take a brush and put some mixture on its fibers to apply on the table. It is better to rotate it on its surface to cut the stains, which will become easy to clean.

Continue this process for about 6 to 8 minutes and then leave for some time. Repeat this process after its drying to get desired results. Next, take a wet towel and squeeze it to wipe the surface.

You will notice the burn marks become reduced to the minimum points. You can do it again the next day when you do not get the desired results. 

Lemon juice and ashes

Lemon juice can soften tough stains, which become easy to clean. You will be surprised to know that ashes effectively serve the same purpose.

Hot cups leave dark marks on your table, which fades its shine. Ashes work best to remove them and are a good choice to get rid of these stains. Take 10 to 12 lemons and extract their juice in a small bowl.

Add some ashes of burnt cigarettes to this bowl. You can take them from household fireworks when a cigarette is not available. Mix them with the help of a stirrer and leave for 1 to 2 minutes.

Use a clean cloth and dip it into the solution. Wipe it with the help of a clean terry towel to get a clear surface. 

Use steel wool and wax

It is better to identify the nature of these burn marks on the table. Then, you can remove them easily without using chemical cleaner if they are fresh. You should use steel wool for cigarette stains.

Take steel wool of medium thickness and avoid using its hard fibers. Fresh stains are easy to clean because they need less pressure and effort. Apply gentle pressure and rub it gently on the affected area.

These marks will fade away by rubbing for 4 to 5 minutes. Avoid applying more pressure because it can affect its polish color.

Instead, use some wax on this portion with the help of a soft brush and cover it with a towel for a couple of minutes. Remove the towel and enjoy the clean and smooth wooden table.

Mixing linseed oil with furniture polish

You need to use some chemicals to remove the tough burn stains which do not go away by using household components. You can use furniture polish if the cleaning methods have affected your table polish.

Linseed oil is effective for cleaning old marks which are hard to remove. Get some good quality furniture polish according to the color of your table.

Pour 3 to 4 tablespoon linseed oil into a small bowl and add polish to this bowl. Mix it well to get its paste-like form.

Clean the table with a small piece of cloth and apply this mixture with the help of a brush on its surface.

It is essential to describe that you should apply it in the direction of its grain. It can affect its smoothness if you do not use it in the direction of its wood grain.

Rub it gently in a circular motion and wait for around 10 to 15 minutes for the paste to set. Then, use a scraper to smooth it and clean the remaining paste with the help of a damp towel. 

Use turpentine and wax

Turpentine oil has powerful cleaning abilities, which you can use to clean the burn marks from the wooden table. Get its pure and good quality standard-size bottle for around $10 to $20 from a nearby store.

Take a terry towel and damp it in this oil. Start rubbing it in a circular motion for around 10 to 20 minutes. Clean its surface with the help of a soapy cloth and let it dry naturally.

 Get some wax and apply it to the stained area on your table. Use a clean cloth and place on this wax by applying some pressure.

You will get a clean and clear table surface when you remove the wax from its surface. You can also use rubbing alcohol on the affected portion when there are some residues of burn marks left.

Apply a mixture of salt and olive oil

You can use this method when you do not want to apply the chemicals on your wooden table. Take half 4 to 5 tablespoons of olive oil in a clean bowl and add 1 to 2 teaspoons of salt.

Mix it well with the help of a stirrer and leave for 4 to 5 minutes. Apply it by using a soft fiber brush in the direction of the wood grain. Rub it by applying gentle pressure for about 10 to 12 minutes.

 Clean the surface with a damp cloth and apply some wax to make the surface smooth. 

Use the iron to heat the affected portion

It is a cost-effective method to remove these black burn marks from your wooden table. In addition, sometimes the hot plate and bowl leave a burn mark on your table, which you can remove by using this method.

You do not have to spend money to get a cleaning component to remove these stains. Clean the table surface and let it dry naturally.

Turn the iron on and set it at maximum temperature. Place a thin towel over the affected portion and put the iron on this area. Hold it for around 10 to 20 seconds and turn it off.
