How to Get Wood Furniture Stain Out of Carpet? You can get furniture stains out of the carpet by using acetone, commercial cleaners, and rubbing alcohol. In addition, steam cleaning, citrus solution, and dishwasher can also perform this function effectively.

Here are easy methods to clean these tough stains. You can perform the cleaning process by using already present ingredients in your house.

Applying Acetone

It is well known multi-purpose chemical which works efficiently to remove stains. However, sometimes the wood furniture stains do not fade and remove even after trying several methods.

You can use it as a final and most efficient remover to clean the carpet. You have to take 4 to 5 cotton balls and keep them on the opening of the acetone bottle. Soak them completely one by one in this chemical and place them on the affected portion.

Leave them for about 3 to 4 minutes, and then wipe the surface with the help of a soft fiber terry towel. You should not use it in a room that is non-ventilated because it is inflammable.

Do not perform this method on the carpet if a heater is present.

Commercial cleaners

You can use commercial cleaners when you need quick results. For example, sometimes you want to remove these stains before the arrival of the guests because they make the carpet ugly.

You can use WD-40 because it is a good rust remover. It is essential to use its good quality because its poor quality can cause discoloration. You can use it if the room has proper ventilation because it is a petroleum-based cleaner.

It is better to test its 2 to 3 drops on a small portion to check if it can affect the color. Read its user manual carefully to avoid any undesirable situation. Pour 5 to 6 drops on it if the stain is present on a small area.

It is better to add more quantity if it has spread to a larger area. Put a small cloth in a warm water. Leave it for about 12 to 15 minutes, and then clean this place with the help of this wet cloth.

Rubbing alcohol

It is a product that contains 70% to 90% of isopropyl alcohol which makes it effective in removing dark wooden marks from the carpet. In addition, you can spray it on the affected portion to completely wash out tough stains.

Take a clean bottle and fill its half portion with rubbing alcohol. It is a powerful remover and can also cause high fumes. Open the windows before spraying and keep them open for about 20 to 30 minutes, even after completing the procedure.

It works faster because it can evaporate quickly after performing the cleaning process. It loses stain bonding, which makes it easy to wash out.

Clean the area with the help of blotting paper but do not use any hard fiber brush to rub it because it can damage the carpet.

Spraying Citrus solution

The citrus solution proves beneficial in removing tough stains from the carpet. In addition, it is a cost-effective method because you can make it by using already present ingredients in your house.

Clean the area with the help of a clean duster because it works effectively in a dirt-free place. Take 3 to 4 lemons and make their juice after peeling their skin.

Add 1 to 2 tablespoon vinegar to this solution and mix it well.

Add this mixture into a spray bottle and set its nozzle towards the affected portion. Spray the area and rub it with the help of a soft brush.

Wash the area with lukewarm water and let it dry naturally. It creates a pleasant fresh lemon smell, unlike the foul odor of commercial cleaners.

Steam cleaning

It is the easiest way to get desirable results because it does not involve a harmful component. It is better to set the affected portion for steaming by making it dry.

Dip a clean cloth in water and place it on the stain. Turn on the iron at a low temperature and gradually increase the heat level. Apply gentle pressure on this area to make it dry.

Apply steam to this portion and cover it. It will weaken the bond and make them easy to clean.

You can also hire a certified professional to do this task if you do not have the expertise to do it.

You should keep in mind that it is a slow process, and it does not remove the stain in one session. You have to do about 3 to 4 sessions to remove it.

By using blotting paper on the stain

It is the best way to remove it when the stain is fresh and unsettled. You should use a damp cloth to place it on the affected area for blotting purposes.

You can use blotting to get the best results, as it is specified to perform this activity. Do not rub the surface with a dry duster because it can make it hard to remove.

Try to blot it as early as possible because it can settle with time. You will need professional assistance once they become hardened and old.

It is better to use this method before applying any chemical cleaner to the stain because some of them can damage its fibers.

Using a mixture of the dishwasher and baking soda

It is an effective method to remove the wood furniture stain from the carpet because of the easy handling of these ingredients.

In addition, you can use the dishwasher without the risk of damaging the carpet because it is safe to use.

Take a quarter cup of baking soda and add a small amount of dishwasher to this cup. Add some water to make a paste-like texture and apply it with the help of a brush.

Rub it in a circular motion and clean the area with cold water after 6 to 7 minutes if they are fresh. You should keep rubbing it for about 10 to 15 minutes if you use it on old tough stains.

You can repeat the process after some gap if you do not get the desired results on the first attempt. It is a safe method, and it will not damage the fiber.

Apply carpet conditioner because it prevents it from becoming hard after the use of the dishwasher.
